KHEW News Staff | As of Oct. 14, 2026
If you are in Missoula this month and do not want to spend money on a ticket, the Top Hat has you covered. Logjam Presents lists three free shows in its Groove Concert Series at the Top Hat over the next two weeks.
- Friday, Oct. 16: Cascadel
- Saturday, Oct. 17: Ryan Chrys and the Rough Cuts
- Friday, Oct. 23: Senterline and Spirit Hotel
How these free concerts in Missoula work
Logjam marks all three shows as free. Check the Logjam events page for start times before you go, since they were not posted on the main calendar when KHEW checked on Oct. 14.
The Top Hat is a downtown Missoula venue at 134 W. Front St.
If you are making a weekend of it
The free shows land on busy weekends. Fruit Bats play The Wilma on Oct. 15, and Shakey Graves plays The Wilma on Oct. 23. KHEW has separate stories on both shows.
For students from Rocky Boy and the Hi-Line at the University of Montana, a free show is an easy way to hear Montana’s live music scene.
