Classic rock fans can hear a whole album live in Billings later this month. The Black Jacket Symphony brings Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet to the Alberta Bair Theater on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $37, $32 and $27 plus fees, according to the theater. That makes it one of the more affordable big room shows this fall.

What the Black Jacket Symphony does in Billings

The group recreates a classic album “note for note, sound for sound,” then plays a set of the band’s greatest hits, the theater says. The musicians change depending on which album they are doing. The theater says the group has performed more than 40 classic rock albums over the past ten years.

Slippery When Wet came out in 1986 and includes “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “You Give Love a Bad Name” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

The theater’s tip for the dress code: “Black jackets for them, blue jeans for you.”
